Let me tell you a story about myself…

Not too long ago, I was an insecure, unfulfilled mom who worked at her corporate job, being paid far less than what I was worth and feeling my stress level rise every day. Some days, I just wanted to sleep all day and pretend the world around me didn’t exist. I couldn’t tell you what my hobbies or passions were, because all I did was go to work and take care of my family.

I had crippling anxiety, couldn’t even fathom to step out of my comfort zone, never seemed to be really happy or present, and felt like the dream job I had worked towards (and gotten) just wasn’t all it was supposed to be in my mind.

Along came baby #2 and parental leave, and I realized I didn’t want to go back to work, like ever. So I started a business where I get to live out my purpose, help people do the same, take care of myself, and work 3 hours a day while being home to raise my kids. I’m not only happy, but thriving. I’m more connected to myself than I’ve ever been, I’m a better wife and mom, I’m excited to get up and work every day, and I spend most of my day filling my cup. I’m more bold, more passionate and more alive than I’ve ever felt, and that passion fuels me to empower other women to do the same.

When I signed up for this week long challenge, honestly I did it to support one of my closest friends. I didn’t think I’d get so much out of it. I thought. “Well. She will probly help me figure out how to do a bit better. So that’s cool. And I get to help her do her thing. Which is also really cool”. I did and this week has been truly transformational for me. Without her I don’t think I would have taken the steps I did. Because of this program, I took a huge step and got myself and my business/jewelry into a local shop. It takes a lot for me to step out of my comfort zone and make connections with people, so for me to go into that shop and ask for a space in their store for my items was a major breakthrough.
